What is Dayre?

Dayre is built to be a safe space for women to express themselves and remember their day however they want without judgment or trolls.

It is a women-powered blogging platform equipped with simple, fun and intuitive functions to record your day.

More importantly, it is built on a mission to create an inclusive space for women to define their lives on their own terms.

Why subscription?

A subscription-model allows Dayre to remain ad-free, and this means we will never monetise your data or your content to advertisers. 

A subscription approach ensures a higher level of privacy as your content won’t appear in online searches, so you can feel safe to express yourselves.

Subscription ensures that we remain sustainable as a platform without compromising on what you love about Dayre – the community, the unfiltered thoughts, and the authentic and genuine reviews.

That’s not all. Your subscription ensures that we can continuously support unlimited uploading of texts, images, and videos, without charging you incremental pricing for bandwidth, and also enables us to introduce new features and constantly improve on your experience.

Can I gift subscription(s)?

Please write to us at [email protected] with regards to the person you would like to gift a subscription to, and we will see how we can go about making it happen.

Subscription & Payment

How do I unsubscribe?

Go to Settings, find Payments (under Account), toggle to Subscription, tap on Learn More, and you will be able to access the Unsubscribe button. Simply follow the instructions to stop your subscription.

What happens to my content when I unsubscribe?

We know sometimes you just need a break, so even when you unsubscribe, we will continue to keep your account and your content intact. 

This is to allow users who choose to subscribe in the future to still have access to their account and content.

Can I pause my subscription?

Yup! Simply unsubscribe and we’ll continue to host and safe keep your content. If you would like to resume your subscription, you can do so anytime in-app.

Can I delete my Dayre account?

We’re sorry to see you go. If you would like to delete your Dayre account, please write in to us at [email protected]. Kindly note that this action is not reversible and we will not be able to restore your account after the deed, so do be super sure about it!

Do you offer refunds?

Nope, we’re afraid that we do not offer refunds.

Safety and governance

Why do I have to provide my debit/credit card information during a trial?

We work with Adyen, a third party global payment platform to accept payments.

This is the same payment platform used by companies such as Uber, Grab, Deliveroo, Netflix, Spotify, and more. Which explains why you have to enter your credit/debit card details when you sign up for trials with the abovementioned services as well.

Rest assured that you will not be charged until your free trial is over. And should you choose not to continue after your free trial, you can cancel in-app anytime.

How is my debit/credit card data stored?

The debit/credit card details reside with Adyen, which are encrypted and PCI compliant, and in accordance to their data and privacy policy.

This means that we (Dayre) do not store or have access to your card information.

We only store information that is provided by you and collected by us to enable you to sign in and use Dayre. This includes your name, email address, and mobile number.

Creating an entry

How do I start posting?

Tap on ‘Create’, which can be found in the main navigation bar. You can choose to upload text, photo, video, sticker, or tag a location.

How do I edit my post?

Go to the post you would like to edit on your profile, scroll down a little and a sticky ‘Edit’ icon will appear.

Alternatively, go to your profile, under the Header of your post and to its right, there is a ‘button with three dots’. Tap on it and click on ‘edit post’.

Can I backdate my post?

Unfortunately, though we sometimes would like to rewrite the past, we can't! Backdating is not a feature we will be enabling at the moment.

How can I access my drafts?

Go to ‘Create’ on your main navigation bar. 'Drafts' is found on the top right hand side of the screen. It can also be found under ‘More’.

How do I create a hyperlink?

Type “www” or “http://” followed by the website’s address.

How do I link to one of my previous posts?

@yourusername:DDMMYY (date of the post you would like to link to).

How do I delete a comment?

Swipe left on your comment and hit the bin icon.

Privacy and safety

Is my content searchable on Google or other search engines?

Dayre is a subscribers-only community. Your content cannot be found on Google or search engines outside of Dayre.

How can I edit the privacy of my post?

You can select from three privacy levels:

  1. 'Public' (all subscribers can view this content)
  2. 'Close Friends' (only people you have added to your Close Friends group can view this content)
  3. 'Self' (only you can view this content)

You can edit the privacy of your post from two places:

  1. Under 'Create' (found on the main navigation bar), the privacy setting is found under Day & Date.
  2. Or on your profile, where the privacy setting is also found under Day & Date.

How do I set my Close Friends circle?

Go to Create (found on the main navigation bar), and you will find privacy setting under Day & Date. Tap on it and Select Edit Close Friends list. Or on your profile, where the privacy setting is also found under Day & Date, you can also edit your Close Friends list.

Where can I find my private posts?

Go to ‘Create’ on your main navigation bar. Click on ‘More’. Your private posts can be accessed here.

How do I access Settings?

Settings is found on the top right hand corner of your profile page.

How do I change my username?

At the moment, it’s not possible to change your username. If you have questions, you can contact us at [email protected].

How do I change my email address?

We're afraid your email can't be changed. This is to safeguard your account. If you have questions, you can contact us at [email protected].

How do I change my mobile number?

Unfortunately, you cannot change the mobile number you signed up with. If you have questions, you can contact us at [email protected].

How do I change my password?

You may change your passwords under Settings.

How do I write my About Me page?

You can do so under Settings.

How can I write my bio?

You can do so under Settings.

How do I change my profile picture?

Tap on your profile photo under Settings.

How do I change my cover photo?

Tap on ‘Edit Banner’ found under Settings.


How do I find more content to read?

Use the 'Explore' function from the main navigation bar to see what’s trending on Dayre.

You can also search for blogs or topics by username, keywords or by tag.

How can I report a user or a post?

Under the header and to the right of every entry, you will find a button with three dots. Tap on it and select ‘Report user’. On the top right of every post, you will find a button. Tap on the button and select ‘Report post’. Follow the instructions on the screens to complete the process.

How can I block a user?

Under the header and to the right of every entry, you will find a button with three dots. Tap on it and select ‘Block User’. Users that you have blocked will not be able to follow you or view your content.


What is co-Dayre?

Co-Dayre enables you to invite someone to write a story with you. All posts from both users will be shared on both your accounts on the same day. Likes, comments, and hugs will be shared between both users as well. Co-Dayre cannot be cancelled unless all posts are deleted.

How do I co-Dayre?

Send them an invite which can be found under Create. Tap on ‘More’ and select ‘Co-Dayre’. You will be notified once they accept your request.

When will chat/direct messaging and Inbox be available?

We’re working on it. We will update the community once Inbox, DM, and Chat functions are ready.
