Ah, the familiar & vibrant Dayre community I know is back.
At its peak, I probably followed most EPs and every 15 minutes would give me a refreshed update. I had a lot more time than I do today and I would read and read, write and write.
As the app updates slowed and the whirlwind in the company grew, so did the community react.
With threats to privacy and lack of action from the host, together changes in phases of life and the want to be more off the radar, more EPs dropped off. There were less exposure to good writers/ stories via favourited posts, and I simply didn’t quite sit well with the choice of newly chosen EPs if they were being chosen at all.
And strangest of all, @/blog changed and started on weird content on it when it should’ve been just app updates.
So much has changed without us noticing, eh? Haha.
With the news of the shut down, I come back myself a lot more to check for updates and I see a lot more familiar names on my feed, in particular ones I haven’t seen in a while. I feel warm and fuzzy inside. Whether it’s to come back to say bye or the last hurrah, it feels like old times again indeed.
