At 4am of my first Mother’s Day, I resigned to the fact that it is possible that one of life’s lesson for me was to accept the possibility of facing life as a single mum.
It’s ok, I guess.
Life could be more miserable.
If having an unhelpful and yet unwilling to change partner in parenthood is going to make life more difficult, it may not be such a bad thing to consider going solo.
I know I might come across as sounding too nonchalant but what’s the point on ruminating on the inevitable? After all, life right now as a married mum is no different from single mum life for me.
To my dearest little one, mama will try to hang on as long as she can for you...
Thank you for all your wonderful smiles and thank you for choosing me as your mama.
Of all the families you could have chosen, I’m quite sorry you had to be placed in one that is somewhat dysfunctional at the moment.
I am so sorry. I don’t know what to say...
But mama loves you very much, more than you would ever know
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummies out there. I hope you have a wonderful time being spoilt by your children and husbands.
And to all struggling mummies out there too, you’re not alone...
