Many years ago, we drove across the Causeway, past small towns, through a forested area to look for good seafood. "Are you sure we're on the right track? How can there be seafood when we are in the middle of nowhere?" We doubted ourselves.Suddenly, the deserted road opened up. We saw a restaurant. In front was a row of local cars. Beyond that was the Straits of Singapore.

The morning was spent in Rennes' farmer's market. It is the 2nd biggest market in France and open every Saturday morning till about 1pm.Lots of local produce ranging from vegetables and fruits to meats and seafood.We spotted a Vietnamese stall and decided that our lunch was settled. We tarpau-ed €35 worth of food. There was fried rice (with Chinese sausage!), fried noodles, caramel chicken and spring rolls.
