Grandma's fourth night and my third night here.
Been taking the night shift of taking care of her as other relatives or cousins are too "busy" to take turns 😒
In and out of the hospital has become my daily routine since last month. There're lots of stories that I seen and heard that I do wish to try my best to record them down as my future reference.
Oh yeah, before that, a bit of my grandma's update.
Four days ago, she was admitted thru A&E due to virus/bacteria infection in her surgery area that causing her intestines stop moving and can't passed out her feces thru her stoma bag (four days after she was discharged).
Ya, she got a stoma bag attached to her body during her last operation. Estimate that she will need to wear it for around 2 months.
1st night: in ICU 😰
Luckily 2nd - 4th night she was transferred to normal ward, and she's recovering well now. And hopefully she can discharged tmr.
My worse night in hospital was actually last night, it was really a disaster!! I've a shock of my life but I still have to force myself to calm down and settle every single problem.
Thinking back what happen last night, I really do respect myself a lot now, even my parents lol
First of all, I must say, taking care of patient is really a tough job.
Reminder: Do prepare a plastic bag beside you before you proceed reading.
Last night, at around 11pm, I took my grandma to the toilet before she go to bed and nurse came in to empty her stoma bag.
Then, we happily prepared ourselves to bed and sleep.
Remember? My bed lol
Grandma being transferred back to the same room which she stays previously, so ngam one.
Then at around 11.50pm, my grandma suddenly woke me up.
Bi, Bi, help me to call the nurse, I feel like my bag is leaking.
Of Coz I fast fast jumped up and pressed the help button.
At first, I tot that it was just a small leakage.
Then when the nurses came, and opened the whole blanket..
To the shock of our life..
My grandma is lying in a pool of
My grandma's stoma bag was exploded!! Wtf
I think even the nurses were shocked too, honestly, it was really disgusting. Imagine urself lying in a pool of watery and smelly stool 🙈🙈🙈
Despite the shock in me, I've to act calm and cool. Followed every instructions the nurses told me. They were lack of man power that night, so I've to do the dirty jobs with them too.
We made grandma to stand up and they wiped away all the stools on her, then I brought her to the toilet for bathe while the nurse change and cleaned her bed.
While in the toilet, her newly installed stoma bag was full again, I went out for help but the nurses were missing!!
So I've to help her to open the stoma bag to clean it. Mana tahu, open liao jiu burst again 😩😩😩
Not really burst la, but it was like happened to fast before I could stop it, everything leak out within seconds.. 😭😭😭
End up whole toilet floor was full of 💩💩💩
I was actually doing this when all the 💩💩💩 fall on the floor. First reaction ma...
Murphy's law.. 😩😩😩
Stay cool, stay cool.
This was what I told myself during that incident. Grab the water hose and simply clean the floor, then fast fast help grandma to bathe and towel dried her, wear her hospital gown then send her back to the bed.
Then back to my battle in the toilet.
Honestly, it's really disgusting.
But I still have to 硬着头皮 to do the cleaning. Wash toilet, wash grandma's tower and panties.
My mind was very focus that time. Clean all the 💩 then go back to sleep lol
When my grandma told my parents the story this morning, my parents were impressed and respect me as well lol my mom said she would have fainted if this happened on her lol
Thinking back what happened last night, I was proud of myself too. I'm actually an expert of cleaning 💩
Poppi tonight going to be a smooth night 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
When I was helping my grandma in the toilet, suddenly my grandma very sentimental.
No idea why I feel so touch when she said this to me. I told her, “这是我回报你的时候，不要不好意思啦！”
