How was everyone's Christmas? Whether you've spent it with family and friends or even took the time off to recharge, we hope it was time well spent 💕
We're counting down the days to 2017! Very soon, the New Year will be right at our door step but before that lets get into our very last Dayre post of 2016.
If you've been wondering who is behind Nuffnang and @churpsg's weekly Dayre and social media updates, wonder no more as I take you through
My life as a Nuffnang Intern ☺️
First things first, I am Alison as many of you have seen at the end of each Dayre post and I am part of the Talent and Community team in Nuffnang.
If you're looking to be a part of us, one thing you have to be confident in is your writing skill because you'll be in for A TON of writing 📝 This was a welcomed challenge for me because I enjoy writing and sharing my stories. To be able to see my work published and read by so many of you gave me a sense of satisfaction I've never experienced
While I do enjoy writing, I certainly also face the problem of writer's block once in awhile. It could be as simple as not knowing what content to put up here on Dayre or having no idea how to convey the week's content in the best possible way.
In my time as an intern at Nuffnang, I do look back fondly on the content that I have created and here are
My Top 3 Favourite Posts ✨
The Story of Dayre was my very first post that I wrote for Nuffnang. Just this reason alone deserves a special spot in my heart 🏆 It was also the post that helped me understand Dayre better as I got to go behind the scenes to understand in depth about this app that we love very much. It made me realise how dedicated the team is at making this platform as awesome as it can be!
The Story of Dayre led to my second post which was questioning our authenticity online, and also on Dayre which thrives on sharing our stories. If people are not willing to be vulnerable or the content they share are not authentic, will an online platform survive?
Call it beginner's luck but it was pretty easy for me to write out the Story of Dayre but by this post, I was stuck 😰 The post had to be ready by Friday but at 9pm on Thursday I still did not have a draft I was confident of.
This post challenged me to write about a topic close to heart to not just myself but many in the community yet remain as neutral as I can. The anxiety of not being sure I could craft out a post of quality and then finally having the go ahead to post it was such an incredible feeling 😌
These two tie at my top three favourite posts.
The $15 challenge with @estherxie was another proud moment for me as I pitched the idea to the team. At Nuffnang, your ideas are always welcomed and if you think it will be a value add then go for it 💪🏼 Having the support of my team allowed me to do my job with confidence.
Also, a big thank you to Esther for being such a sport and agreeing to co-Dayre with me 😊
@netccentric's Giving Tuesday was my first time doing a live update. While it was tiring to be updating Dayre and contributing to the day's activities, it was really fulfilling as these precious memories are recorded so that we can look back on it in the days to come!
Writing is a really important skill to have so be sure to enjoy it and the rest will come naturally ✨
Whether it is organising giveaways for the community or posting updates of our talents, you will have a hand in it!
My favourite social media project was definitely scripting, filming and editing for #nuffnangvs Mong Chin in a game of Would You Rather 😉 It was really fun working with @mongabong and I learnt a bit of video editing as well!

Of course, there are great days at work and there are also not so great ones. Because of our short working hours (we start at 10AM!), things can get really serious really quickly as well. Each work day is very intense and you really have to be on the ball with everything. If you read my personal Dayre (that's @ehlisen if you're curious), you'd see that by the end of the work day I am really exhausted because if you snooze you lose!
Being a part of Nuffnang also comes with many opportunities such as attending events like the most recent #nuffnangchurpmas and @netccentric's 10th anniversary.
Meeting talents and working with them also comes with the job so here are some I've had the pleasure of meeting, @brenwho @rchlwngx @evonnz and @iamnatho 🤗
Other include working with brands like OSMOSE and ETTE Tea for @churpsg, having the chance to attend Wicked the musical and being a part of Giving Tuesday!
I am really grateful for the opportunities that come along with the job and the internship was a good balance of work and fun 👍🏼
And that's not even the best part. The greatest take away for me was most definitely the people that I worked with, my trusty colleagues and mentor that have taught me and helped me grow through this internship.
My internship would not have been so memorable if not for the people in the office 🙆🏻
It has been my honour to work alongside the Talent team and for everyone else whom I've had the great opportunity to get to know, thank you for all the amazing times we've shared together!
The last four months have been tiring to say the least but I walk away having gained so much more ☺️ Thank you to everyone once again!
If you're thinking about joining us, be sure to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more! Like me, it could be a life changing experience 🤗
It has been an incredible journey for me and I hope this coming year will be one filled with many more chances to get out of our comfort zones!
I have enjoyed writing and sharing here on Dayre, as I hope you have enjoyed reading them #Lifeofanuffnangintern
🌟 Happy New Year, Dayreans and for the last time...
