My stand has always been, I will disown the child who gets a motorbike license. Since there is no child, there is no disownment to own.Today I weep for the grandson my eldest aunt lost. The 19 year old son of my cousin and my cousin-in-law.X is taken away way too soon.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -I have always imagined the greatest pain in life is the loss of a child. It takes just one instant for all the light in your world to dim.

One of the ladies in this foodie group is a member of 1880 and brought us there for dinner. The food was fantastic!I have also been good by sticking to public transport both nights I have been out because a lot of moolah went to the food!

The Lokal

A weekend of pigging out. It wasn't meant to be so but I had to move one movie outing with my friend a week early.I was attracted to the '50% off steaks' at The Lokal on Shopback Go!My friend said in that case she will skip lunch. I replied, "me too". Except I didn't. What I did was have half the usual portion of rice during lunch. And I was still starving when we met up just before 6pm. Said friend's previous meal was at 7am. So I went ahead and place our orders when she was about to reach.

Japanese Soy Sauce

Omelette made Chinese-style is my go-to filler dish for dinner. It is something that is super yummy, very simple and quick to make. I just beat the eggs with a few pinches of salt, dashes of white pepper powder and a light splash of light soy sauce. All you need is a very hot pan and enough oil 🤣. I use the word 'enough' loosely.Since we have recently consumed the last drop of light soy sauce from Kwong Woh Hing, I have broken out this soy sauce our friends lugged back from Japan.

I bought these Australian origin avocadoes from Fairprice yesterday. Look at how perfect it is! My faith in creamy avocadoes had since been restored. Yay yay yay!

I am very happy with the languid pace these (almost) two weeks we have been back. What I thought would be just a semi-busy week is picking up pace. Just as well that I got to slowly ease myself into busy periods.
