I don’t want it to be big and ambitious resolutions that I can’t see any fruits or direct outcome of it. I wanted resolutions that can frame the direction of what I want my daily life to be instead of just burying my head in work. I no longer want a routine to be just work and sleep. That’s not how I want my remaining 2 years before 30 to be like.
1. 365 Photo Diary
I know I will not discipline to do a daily diary but I realise I have been taking photos frequently. I was thinking of putting these photos as a meaningful record of the year. As such, I decided to use Unfold app to do a 365 diary. It allows me to include a sentence or so to do a daily reflection.
2. 5 min Daily Plank Exercise
I completed the 28 days plank challenge with my friends last year so I decided to adopt something different this year. As usual, running and whatsoever gymming is not for the lazy bone me. I shall try to do minimally a 5 minute plank exercise everything for the sake of the bubble teas and food that I am still going to be having in 2019.
I still have kpopxfitness class every wed (wow it’s the third year already) and dance every tues. I think it’s good enough for me already (I think...)
3. Have perfect teeth
I think this is not something that can be controlled by me.
My Dentist said 6 more months. I shall have faith in him.
4. Travel to somewhere new
Well, my June vacation is already fixed. It’s going to be Bangkok but this time round, we are going to explore another city (Khao Yat or Khao Kho or even Hua Hin) beside just the usual Bangkok shopping. That will be something new.
But I WILL STEP OUT OF ASIA this year.
That’s my goal. I shall keep to it.
Another reminder for myself, abstain from Korea until Jun 2020. (I really miss that place)
I wanted to put solo travel as one of my goal this year but I am not confident about it.
Not because I don’t have the courage to go on it but it seems like there isn’t much opportunity to do it this year. As such, I am not confident if I will be able to achieve if I put it as my resolution.
But I will really want to create that opportunity to do it again.
5. Adhere to deadlines
I suppose this is the most ambitious resolution for myself. Not that I am bad at adhering deadlines, or rather I should rephrase it to be ‘not leaving things to the very last minute’.
I am guilty of this and I think it’s going to be the most toughest resolution to achieve in 2019.
So this marks the 5 simple (maybe, not really) resolutions in 2019.
Though I still have countless of ideas in my head - bubble tea, shopping, saving.... I suppose all these are all for me to know by myself. Every year, all these resolutions end up being a empty promise to myself.
Nonetheless, school is starting. I hope work is going to be to me and me being kind to my own body. I need to care for my own personal and mental health as well. 2018 was really mind blowing with my graduating classes. This year, I shall reset myself and be positive for the coming year as I take on new form class, new position and new responsibilities.
