It does not ever, apparently, go away altogether, but over time the howling diminishes to a roar, which degrades to a sigh. By now, I’m starting to find myself being able to go about my life again, though sadder, different. Reminder - Be gentle and kind to myself and honor each stage of what I’m feeling and, as much as I can, be thankful for all the support and care.
