Happy CNY! 🍊🍊It’s Day 4 and I dragged myself back to work today. The CNY weekend has been wonderful, though it felt a bit weird because it’s truly the last year of taking angbaos. And because of that, my mum wanted me to stay the night at their place. Bittersweet I guess? Started day 1’s morning with bai nian to my parents, and then we took our usual family photo!
You know how I’m always afraid of making Chinese meal because I haven’t really tried it before?Well I did it today!Since it’s just the 2 of us, I usually use the electric lunch box to cook our rice. Then I remembered seeing quite a number of dishes you can cook with it in YouTube so I did a quick search! #ivyytkitchenadventureI decided on steamed tofu with minced pork :D
Look at what my in-laws brought us! Initially I was worried that we don't have any CNY snack for hosting, now I'm worried we don't have enough people over to help us finish all these 😂I'm not a snacky person so I usually don't touch them unless someone took the initiative to open them up. Even then, I won't be stuffing my face with them.
What a way to start this weekend huh?The news of Dayre closing down seems inevitable when they did their sticker sale, but I most certainly did not expect a notice period of 18 days. I haven’t start archiving my posts and I really should. Dayre has seen me through the bad, and the good. The husband usually leave the house earlier than me because it takes him longer to get to the office. He kisses me goodbye, leaves the house, and then I wake up. My mum once commented “huh you never wake up to make breakfast for him?”My mum wakes up to do that and sends all of us out of the door. But I can’t lol. I love my sleep too much.
