Jewel Changi - one afternoon and not nearly enough time

I had a pretty rough weekend where I had to deal with some personal stuff, so I decided that I needed a change in scene this week. The great thing about working in digital is that you can basically work anywhere, so sometimes IY and I head out of office to get inspired.

Rejection? It’s okay

What I saw on AliExpress. This phrase couldn’t ring more true for me than it did during the @i_yune:220419 episode. When I was feeling low the first day after it happened, I thought of this kid from a 2018 CNY performance.

Almost heartbreak - tastes salty etc

Long story short: This guy I liked said he liked me only to tell me a week later that he wasn’t over his ex.

IDGAF: I’ll eat cake when I want to

It's not my birthday but I'll eat cake if I want to. The best thing about being a grown up is you can eat as much dessert as you like cause no parent is around to nag you to eat your veggies 24/7 (unless you’re having dinner at home). You’re the grown up, you call the shots. If you want to eat cake for dinner, you eat cake for dinner. I basically had 4 cakes within a week, and then some more during the next.

What I learned from losing my first pet

A good friend’s dog passed away recently. The border collie was 15-years-old and pretty much blind and deaf. For the past year, he was constantly knocking into things or chasing his tail in circles - signs that he had dementia. For months my friend and her fam struggled with the decision to put down the old boy. They knew that he was suffering, but they also hoped that he’d give them a sign when he wanted to leave. Although what exactly would’ve passed off as a sign remained vague.

Thinking about Paris

Woke up at 6am for barre this morning and read about the Notre-Dame fire in the news. (Just as I was joking yesterday that I look like Quasimodo cause my left eyelid is swollen from an allergy.) According to reports, no one was killed although one of the firefighters has been seriously injured. The spire and part of the roof structure has been destroyed but otherwise most of the 800-year-old building remains in tact.
