Cherries are going so cheap that I couldn't help but bake a cherry clafoutis tart.
It's been so long!! Trying a new recipe as well, a lot more local ingredient friendly. Had to play with the proportions cause my house is not stocked with baking stuff hahahaha I need pretty pie glassware!!
These aren't going out of the house though, not sure if they're up to standards yet.

Verdict - this recipe is pretty easy and straightforward, and the ingredients list doesn't have anything weird and exotic.
But the flavour hasn't hit the mark for me. Previously recipe's custard was more silky and rich. And the pastry for this one is not as crumbly as I would like - would have preferred an egg yoke instead of butter as the fat component to the dough.
