Third barre class in and I don’t quite feel the strain. Could it be time for me to level up to the multi-level class? Thing is, I go to a neighbourhood outlet affiliated to WeBarre (Joyful Steps) so a good majority of the class comprises aunties. Because of this, all but one of their classes are ‘fundamental’ and I suspect the Instructors go easy on us because of class composition. Should I venture to the actual WeBarre outlets in town after my 10-class package ends? 🤔
Minor accomplishments today include: - Successfully reaching the office at 7:11am to amend a paper (though I was stuck outside for 15 mins because I don’t have key drawing rights 😂) - Seeing my boss do an exaggerated nod while reading my paper - did not get told off by a very temperamental Secretary - WENT FOR A WEEKDAY BARRE CLASS!
A day after my first Barre class and I’m aching in so many places that I never knew could ache. Also feeling my glutes for the first time ever. I’ll be lying if I said I’m not working out for the wedding. I wished I was cool enough to say idgaf but to spend that much on a day and not try to look your best seems a bit counter intuitive.
Last night’s dinner at Melben was so wonderful. It was my first time there and for a beloved boss’ farewell. I love seafood (except steamed fish) and especially love crabs and lobsters so I was super excited for dinner time 😂 Told a few people that my week had been building up to that moment. It didn’t disappoint! We had black pepper, butter crab, chilli crab and this soup crab. I think the soup’s my favourite. Super flavourful. The bill came up to 1.2k for 5 large crabs 😵
