Get to know the ads we love! 😍

Ello ello Churpers! Hope everyone is having a good week, if not, we're only hours away to Friday✌🏼

In line with @Netccentric's anniversary, celebrating how #welivesocial and with us being in the social media advertising scene, we are going to talk about the types of advertisements in our lives, that has gone from print to online! Unknowingly, advertisements today are sprawled everywhere, in every corner of our lives. πŸ‘€

With the rise of social media, advertisers have also stepped up their game leaving lasting impressions (or even shedding a tear or two!)

Here are some of our favourite advertisements of all time that…

Touched our hearts πŸ’ž

Women today often feel insecure because of the many societal pressures and unrealistic expectations that have been set for them. Ever felt this way before, ladies? πŸ˜•

Thankfully, Dove celebrates beauty as a whole, whether or not one fits into that cookie cutter beauty standard. They focus on the beauty of different skin colour, size and age, and encourage women to #ChooseBeautiful and to consciously make this choice every day✨

For a period of time, this ad went viral all over our social media feed! See if it warms your heart as it did to us ☺️


Other than new clothes, yummy snacks and visitations every Chinese New Year, brands also get creative with their ads. Malaysian oil and gas giant, Petronas, released one that sent a message straight to our hearts πŸ’˜

Our personal favourite is this! Reminding us that spending time with our loved ones is the most important thing πŸ‘¨‍πŸ‘©‍πŸ‘§‍πŸ‘¦πŸ’•

Not only do ads send important messages across that we may have forgotten in our day to day activities, they appeal to one’s emotions and are the ones that we do not mind watching over and over again. Share with us some ads that tugged at your heartstrings!

So is the dress black and blue or white and gold? Hmmm

Pretty sure many of you remember this! The social media world was split into two teams that day with #theDress trending. Here are how some brands rode on the trend:

And even Oreo was part of the big debate of the year βšͺ️⚫️

In case you’re wondering, the dress was confirmed to be blue and black hahaha.

Pokemon GO is all the rage today and since hitting our shores this August, it has taken over our lives (Like really, almost everyone in our office went cray over a Pikachu sighting!)

To celebrate Pokemon’s 20th anniversary, a minute long ad was showcased at the annual football event championship.

In which Pokemon also encouraged the audience to join in the celebration by using the hashtag #Pokemon20 on social media. Selected images with the hashtag will then be featured on the Pokemon20 website!

Seems like everyone can be a Pokemon master with social media today! hehe

Life-size X-wing fighter and TIE fighter came marching in to Changi Airport in conjunction with the Star Wars movie and the launch of R2-D2 All Nippon Airways, a Star Wars themed plane ✈️

Social media users stood a chance to win tickets to tour the themed plane simply by answering questions on Singapore Changi Airport’s Facebook page. Perfect for all Star Wars fans!✨

“My favourite and most memorable campaigns are all the McDonalds / McCafe ones! I loved trying out all the new products & I like how I can be creative with all the food shots.

I also like these campaigns because I had the opportunity to invite followers to join me at events & do latte art, DIY & food tastings together!

Plus, the McDonald's people are always very nice, hospitable and friendly to me! 😊"

“My favorite has to be the PUB Photowalk campaign! It was my first Photowalk experience at McRitchie Reservoir and also my first ever campaign with Churp Churp - which made it extra memorable.

I remember feeling very shy initially because it was sort of my first meeting with other Churp Churp influencers, but at the same time it was a fun experience as we not only managed to learn more about the different ABC Water sites in Singapore, but had a fun time bonding, sharing our experiences and taking photos together amidst the serenity of MacRitchie Reservoir.
