It’s finally Friday, Churpers! 🎉🎈
As we March into a new month (pun intended 😄) and with the school holidays around the corner, we invited our very own teacher @jocinaaa to be our Featured Alpha of the month! From #ootds to café-hopping, we’ve seen her matured over the years into a young fine lady.
✨ 4 things about Jocina! ✨
1. Her favourite travel moments last year 🏞
"Ah, there are so many!! Hmm, I was really awed when I saw some of the most amazing nature sights over in Tasmania. I can’t even begin to describe how crazy unreal it was to be right there because our world’s really beautiful, so I’m just gonna let the pictures do the talking ☺️"
2. Expectations VS reality of her teaching experience 📚
“Expectations: The idea that somehow teachers always have worksheets/notes for every lesson and the fact that you think you can head home earlier on days where you don’t have CCA duty.
Reality: These worksheets don’t just come out of nowhere – they are created from scratch by each teacher with great thought and crafted in a specific way to enable a child to understand something that we want to teach.
And usually, most teachers don’t get to leave earlier even on days that they aren’t on CCA duty, because there are meetings, remedial, consultation sessions, discipline cases, parents to call up, marking of worksheets/practices, and many more other admin matters to complete somehow.”
3. Jocina loves dressing up! So what’s her fashion style & inspiration? 👗👠
“I enjoy creating looks out of items that are really quirky or easily overlooked, and sometimes I think I tend to pick up items which people don’t usually go for.
I don’t really have a very specific style usually but I love preppy and vintage get-ups as well as going girly on special occasions.”
4. COMMUNICATION is key for a happy relationship 🗣👫
“It really helps to talk things out in my opinion. I feel that if there is something bothering you, it’ll be best to iron things out straight so that we can both learn and grow from that particular situation. 😊 Or else, it could really mutate to be a huge issue if you don’t resolve it together when it first surfaces.
Moreover, if you really cared about someone, you’ll definitely want to put in the effort to understand the other person’s point of view and find a midpoint somewhere you can both compromise? 😊"
That’s all we got for #FeatureFriday today, find out about her scariest travel encounter and more when you head over to sg.churpieblogs.com for the full feature.

Have a good weekend ahead y’all! 😁😁😁
