And it's over! Took so many snaps on snapchat! You should really go watch them if you wanna know what to expect for this year's performance!
I loveeeeeed all 6 acts put together, especially the unicorn and 3D buildings! I would say this year's show is very modern, we sat in the comfort of the new stadium with aircon! The only pity was we couldn't watch the fireworks outside cos of the sheltered stadium. Not too sure if the shelter will open up during the actual day? It would be perfect!
We got out of the stadium real quick too, thanks to the media exit. Not very secretive but I'm sure we wouldn't have made it out so smoothly and quickly if not for the guidance! Haha.
Walked to Kallang station cos Stadium was full. Kallang station was quite empty and I didn't even have to miss any train! From time out to now, it's been 30 mins & I'm already at Redhill!
Just transferred some photos to my phone!
This was under act 3 which features a LED unicorn with the aim to inspire us Singaporeans to dare to dream.
And this was act 5 - Our Singapore of tomorrow.
I really like the use of lights, so pretty! And those buildings look so real. During the media event, they mentioned this was something not tried before and I believe they spent a fair bit of time before they could showcase this!
We didn't managed to catch the outdoor fireworks but there was a small scale one indoors!
I think this is possibly one of my favorite photos of the night! It really has the celebration vibe don't you think? And that's exactly why we were all gathered together! To celebrate Singapore's past 50 years of achievements! 🇸🇬
I don't know about you, but I really feel damn proud to be Singaporean. We have so much to be thankful for, which some people just don't get to understand why so.
There may be things you're unhappy about, issues you don't agree on or can't understand, but just being born Singaporean gives you a safe place to live in, to grow up in. Isn't this more than enough? Some people grow up being discriminated in their own country, worrying about their safety every day, being raped as though it's a norm, isn't that worst?
I don't fully agree with some policies that are being implemented too, but what I know is that that's the decision made because it's the best for the people and our country. Think of the bigger picture. There's no way anyone can even please everyone, let alone having to please millions of citizens.
If you think Singapore has too many hard rules that you're at a disadvantage, you really should stay abroad and maybe, you'll start to see the good we have.
Be grateful, for Singapore wouldn't have or be what she has if not for the foresight of our leaders. It's true!
Will be posting a proper blog post soon! If you wanna know what to expect for this year's performance, find me on Snapchat!
