Filled with so much guilt right now

We followed the Super Nutrition book and fed her soft boiled egg yolk

It wasn’t the first time today but somehow 2 hours after eating, after she woke up from her nap she started puking milk out and after there was no more milk she puked like a yellow sticky substance that my Husband said is bile.

Now I’m filled with so much regret :((( know that that book is abit unorthodox but we really thought it would be good for her.

What a bad mom I am :((( seeing her happy face before we feed her here.

It’s not conclusive whether it’s an allergy that caused all the puking but still..

Little Peach is sleeping in the hospital bed now while I wait for my Husband to come back from his trip home with our essentials.

Now I’m thinking what do we feed her and whether we should just stop all the beef broth, liver, avo etc

sunriser hugs Amanda, don't feel bad for too long, you were only trying to feed ur baby a protein source that you thought was good for her. mine also had an massive diarrhea episode for the whole day with soft boiled egg yolks (but perfectly fine with hard boiled egg yolks) which scared me too! but we keep learning as first time mums abt what suits our babies and what doesn't. Good that u brought her to a doctor already! keep baby Peach hydrated and rested, get well soon baby Peach!

carynllw Hugs! Don’t blame yourself! I had a similar experience with the eggs even though I bought pasteurized eggs and was quite freaked out and the diarrhea episode was not fun. After which I made sure the eggs were more cooked... Hope little peach feels better soon!!

amandalily @carynllw yes ikr we bought organic etc too but doctor said generally eggs still tend to be more reactive. For sure I’m not going to dare to introduce it for a while after this. Or maybe more cooked like u said. Diarrhoea sounds quite bad too, lucky it’s over now!

theprincessbride Don’t worry ! I just saw a specialist in allergies and he says that there’s no need to wait to introduce eggs or reactive foods , he says the new evidence shows it makes no difference whichever time frame you start introducing these foods to baby. But make sure the egg is fully cooked !
